Karan, if you read the logs, it looks like you can't access that address. Maybe you are behind a firewall or proxy that prevents the connection? Can you access the page ftp.musicbrainz.org? And if you run the command `curl ftp://ftp.musicbrainz.org/pub/musicbrainz/bookbra… in your terminal, do you get the same error?

Hi, monkey I am a beginner contributor and look forward to contributing to this project. I found this ticket https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/BB-592 and would like to work on it. Can you please guide me on which files should i go through?

Hi AbhinavOhri, if you read the logs ! The diffing is done on the ORM. You can find each entity's revision page in this folder: https://github.com/metabrainz/bookbrainz-data-js/…
      • 2023-03-29 08858, 2023

And the `diffRevisions` method that each one calls is here: https://github.com/metabrainz/bookbrainz-data-js/…

It looks like the internet connection on your end does not allow you to connect. Are you perhaps behind a proxy?

Hello! In reference to the Administration System project for GSoC 2023.At extended goals section, can you explain why a new page is needed for allowing privileged users to edit and add relationships and identifiers? Isn't that option available when editing an entity, why is there a new page needed?
      • 2023-03-29 08830, 2023

      • pbryan
Hi stoichy, if I'm interpreting the GSoC requirements correctly, under the new role model, only privileged editors would be allowed to edit relationships and identifiers.
      • 2023-03-29 08826, 2023

      • pbryan
Presumably this functionality would be removed from the standard entity page.
      • 2023-03-29 08820, 2023

      • kellnerd
The GSoC page might not be the clearest explanation, but as far as I've understood it in various discussions, the new page is about adding new identifier and relationship *types*. So far this requires direct database access.
      • 2023-03-29 08833, 2023

      • pbryan
Ah, that makes more sense. 🙂
      • 2023-03-29 08854, 2023

      • pbryan
It would be nice for quasi-admins to manage those.
      • 2023-03-29 08858, 2023

      • monkey
        That is correct
      • 2023-03-29 08818, 2023

      • monkey
I amended the ideas page to clarify
      • 2023-03-29 08824, 2023

      • stoichy
But should the option for any user to edit or add relationships or identifiers for an entity still be availabe?
      • 2023-03-29 08804, 2023

      • pbryan
Yes, my understanding now would be that existing editors can continue to add relationships and identifiers to entities.
      • 2023-03-29 08829, 2023

      • pbryan
The stretch goal is to allow privileged users to add new relationship *types* and new identifier *types*.
      • 2023-03-29 08825, 2023

      • stoichy
Okay, thanks. Is there a way I can share my GSoC proposal without posting it publicly?

        > Do not contact potential mentors privately. Not via email, nor via private messages. Your application for GSoC needs to be done in public.
