hello! is there any conventions on labels used on digital releases where that label only releases records of a single artist? does that count as self released? there's no info on the label other than that it's credited on deezer/spotify etc so I'm assuming it's more like a wrapper for self-releasing than an actual label

cleanus: that's often a matter of judgement. If it's a label with a consistent (and useful) name, and you feel like adding it, then you can do that. If not, `[no label]` is probably fine too

labels where it's obvious that `[no label]` should be used are things like the DistroKid labels which consist of something like "DK <a bunch of numbers>"

Why do I keep finding the random one off version of a release that no one else has entered?

Okay, this is weird. I'm trying to import the discogs for the album, and I'm getting this warning when I do so. "This label/catalog number pair already exists."

How do I search for that pairing?

PelvicSorcery: https://musicbrainz.org/search, select "advanced query syntax" and search for a release, search string: `label:"labelname" AND catno:"Catalog number"`

I tried it with and without the backticks and I just get a server error. `label:"Maverick" AND catno:"R2-532153"`

And then I tried it with the link you provided instead of the one I had open, and I get no results found.

The results were the same. On the original search I did I got an error both ways, and then using your link I got no results.
