If a work is a translated version of another work, should I add the original composer on the translated work?

Assuming it's a translation, and not a version with new lyrics in a different language

In this case it doesn't really matter; the reference to the original doesn't mention who of the writers did what.

I don't think I have a copy of the original so I'd have no way of knowing if the translation is a direct match or new lyrics based on the original.

On a side note, is there any way to make the MRU-lists longer?

Most Recently Used; whenever you enter something in a field for an artist or instrument it shows a list of the last 10 or so items you used; but it happens to me quite often that there are more than 10 people that worked on a release and it's not always practical to go through the whole booklet to find all instances of the same person or instrument and not lose track of what you were doing

Another interesting one: what lyricist does one use if they are listed in the booklet as taken literally from the Bible?

I don't recall a reason for 10, so probably just picked a nice round number as the default. increasing it sounds fine to me

How would those be listed? The particular song I'm now looking at uses a single verse from Isaiah chapter 9, verse 5 (which might not line up with English versions because there are verse-numbering differences)

I would argue that that is untrue; at the very least, the writer is Isaiah (in this case)

Although it might be a chore figuring out who was involved the translation to a specific language

translators for some language versions are known, and imo it would be helpful to link works where possible

Hmm, a search for 'Isaiah' as artist does reveal that he exist with 'Biblical personage' as disambiguation and listed as lyricist for two works
