derwin: not sure if i'm impressed or depressed by that
iconoclasthero
uh, so if i am looking for a bootleg
and let's say it's one from 1979 of BB King f/Clapton & Diana Ross
if i tell it i want to see "all release groups"
and then filter, it reverts to just official releases??
yeah, that is wrong.
that behavior is wrong.

bitmap when I click on 'x' of track 2 for work rel removal , the track 3 is also highlithed for removal and track 3 is OK, it's a correct work. It seems to find any instance of the work rel to be removed as opposed to the one that was selected on track 2 only.

nadl40: in the case that was linked earlier, the tracks were all (erroneously) linked to the same recording. so there was only one work rel shared by all three tracks
nadl40
yes, that was entered in error, no doubt. But how do you correct it ? Track 3 is fine, but correcting track 2 also removes work rel from track 3, and this track is correct.
bitmap
you have to correct it from the release editor (/edit rather than /edit-relationships), then go to the Recordings tab and either change the recording links to the correct ones, or create new ones (there is a checkbox to do so) if they don't exist
nadl40
sounds good
bitmap
but reosarevok might have fixed that release already
You probably don't need to add new rels, not if the recording you're using already has them anyway
Seems like it does :)
nadl40
that's right, it already does.

derwin: atj: re https://github.com/samim23/polymath - super interesting, a friend who works in audio at Weta Workshop has been working with something similar for ages
Separating out the audio with machine learning lets their audio engineers take ancient footage/audio and make it sound bloody incredible
(For the WW1 footage it was a bit harder… for dialogue they hired lip readers, and then had the lines read by people from the same areas as each soldier :0
