I think that was me talking about being unable to enter fullwidth spaces in the first place (iirc it's deliberate and not an actual bug), but I didn't expect being unable to change in the opposite direction

I'm guessing if I were to make a different change to the title it would then go and change the fullwidth space to halfwidth on its own

yeah, the problem with being unable to store correct spaces in titles due to normalization has interesting interactions with the problem with being unable to make edits that only affect whitespace.

in some places the editor will auto-correct the whitespace, and then refuse to let you make the edit because it only affects whitespace

this has an interesting side-effect that it's helping to preserve some of the spacing from releases that were entered prior to the normalization being added.

if someone successfully edits track 3 of https://musicbrainz.org/release/948a66d5-6993-4... to get rid of the 7 full-width spaces, I'll be a bit annoyed :)
