<11iconoclasthero> how are "original dates" set in MBDB?
<11iconoclasthero> I guess I'm asking if I have to put the 1971 version of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_You_Hear_Is_... in order to set the original date to 1971 or if there's just a single field for that somewhere.
<11iconoclasthero> wow that album just took a lewd turn.
<09jojothespacepeanut> It takes the date from the earliest release date in the release group.
<11iconoclasthero> then then that's a yes to i have to enter the 71 version.
<03nik> For artists with long histories, skipping through 50 pages of recordings is really tedious. I suppose I could globally search for recordings and use the artist field
<10volumetrique> You could also use the Tag Lookup search
<10volumetrique> Or I think there's a userscript for searching in an artist's recordings page
<10volumetrique> Did a lot of tagging tonight 😮💨 Over 2000 songs, with most already being on MB but with some cleanup necessary + adding disc-ids since I have log files :P
<10volumetrique> Only about 8000 tracks left... 😫
<10volumetrique> (re-ripping my Doujin collection in flac because I converted a lot of it a while ago because of lack of space...)
<10volumetrique> will also allow me to keep everything more tidy, with MBIDs, and in properly sorted folders

<10cam1170> I was complaining about how it turned the diffuse background into a green blob. It might be an edge case that they didn't consider or don't care about for their rescaler.
