aerozol: yeah, my recent tracklist change didn't do anything with the enter key. i think that the enter-moves-to-next-track behavior in the artist credit bubble has been there for a while. the behavior of the enter key across the entire tracklist editor is pretty weird and inconsistent, e.g. if the focus is is a title or artist input, enter switches to the next tab, which i suspect that roughly nobody wants

<11YoMo12> What is isrc being used for? Only to find duplicate recordings? Does it help ListenBrains matching?
<11muxxer.exe> ISRCs are basically codes given to recordings, they help with identifying repeated recordings, yes, since one ISRC can only belong to a single specific recording, if I'm not mistaken, even if a single song can have many ISRCs.

<05rustynova> It's also just an identifier in general. Like the barcode. Sadly MBIDs are the standard for identifying recordings... Yet~

muxxxer.de: in general it could also happen that the same ISRC gets applied to different recordings again. It shouldn't, but labels are run by humans 🤷

lyrics aren't something that musicbrainz stores and provides, and for annoying complicated copyright licensing reasons, most lyrics sites don't provide free public apis to get lyrics.

kepstinbrainz: would there be any way to hook it up to LRCLIB? i've tried using LRCGET for it but it has never launched properly

third party plugins in picard can do anything, but it's probably not something that can be shipped with picard.

<09duckfromdisc> wait so do we have a website for importing spotify to mb
<09duckfromdisc> id prefer it to be like the userscript where it sends you to a page where everything is autofilled but youre allowed to change stuff
<09duckfromdisc> wait whats the difference between those also did one break with spotify cause i thought i heard that here
<03metadataismydrug> Those should still work, it's https://d.ontun.es/ which imports ISRCs which had it's domain expire that no longer works. Unless that's what you meant? The other two things import releases
<09duckfromdisc> i heard about that one being gone but i also thought i heard one of those first two was not working specifically on spotify
<03metadataismydrug> Been a few days since I've added a release, but both seem to be working for me 🤔
<09duckfromdisc> wait so whats the difference between the two?

<03metadataismydrug> atisket is the old one that's been around for years. Harmony is a new spiritual successor(Different devs). They're hosted by the same person though.
aerozol[m]
Paste a URL/barcode into both, and see :)
discordbrainz
<03metadataismydrug> atisket was never made open source. The code was shared, but not publicly. @a_guy_called_adam maintains it but can't share the code with others. Harmony was made by @kellnerd and is open source https://github.com/kellnerd/harmony/
<03metadataismydrug> (Hopefully I got all that right)
aerozol[m]
atisket has a few extras that are only apparent after you have submitted a release, so try submitting a release with both as well
<09duckfromdisc> done with the internet? that's a bit much
<09duckfromdisc> why does harmony use a gb url for apple music?
<03metadataismydrug> You can put us or any other code in the box. It just has no defaults(IIRC)
aerozol[m]
Maybe next time I will just comment on the one piece of art, and have a longer discussion before entering removal edits. See if they have raws they would be keen to upload. But that would just be to soften the blow and try keep an editor around - the reality is that the artwork was going to go sooner or later. And I don’t really have time 😵💫
discordbrainz
<09duckfromdisc> does it matter which i put?
aerozol[m]
I don’t care, but some editors make sure to use the artist’s country
discordbrainz
<09duckfromdisc> oh shoot
<09duckfromdisc> it puts GB in the edit note too
<09duckfromdisc> as in thats where it got its data
<09duckfromdisc> wait a second theres literally just an option there
<09duckfromdisc> what the heck is this annotation thing it added and should i keep it

If liner notes on a cassette single say "All songs published by (G.B. only) Warner Bros. Music Ltd." at the bottom near the manufacturing and copyright info, should I add the label relationship Warner Bros. Music Ltd. "published" to the works, the release, or both?
