i've only written one disambiguation and it's "(Australian hyperpop producer)"
also i'm pretty sure according to spotify that it is indeed a genre

why is this so funny to me
how big of a problem was the OC ReMix series that it had to get an entire front page musicbrainz article
theres a couple billion dollar companies using musicbrainz its one of the biggest music projects known to man and a video game ost remix series broke the entire thing

ok, I have a disc that I can't find in a system anywhere... they only credit the original songwriters, not the performers and it isn't necessarily the "popular" version/artist of the song
for example, "Wind Beneath My Wings" here is sun by a female (not bette midler) and credits are for Larry Henley and Jeff Silbar (the songwriters)

Might have to go with [unknown]
Those types of budget releases sometimes just don't list artists

lazybookwyrm[m]: yeah, that's what I was planning on doing, but really hoping I could find some other way. I even tried having picard do an acoustic match, but it was like "oh yeah, this one by mariah carey"... and yeah, i can tell you that singer AIN'T mariah
do I even "add a new recording" at this point?

whoops, I forgot to ask something - is atisket.pulsewidth.org.uk better than harmony.pulsewidth.org.uk?

IMHO harmony is better than atisket
lazybookwyrm[m]
Harmony is newer and has support for Beatport and Bandcamp which atisket doesn't have

And Tidal
lazybookwyrm[m]
Oh yeah, forgot that one

It lacks finding existing releases on MB, but this is work in progress.
What are people using these days to submit ISRC’s to an album, not that d.ontune.s is down? MagicISRC is great when Harmony seeds the ISRC’s from Spotify, but what’s the easiest thing to do if the album already exists?
I used to not care about ISRC’s and then the scripts made it easy and now it feels incomplete without them… curses!
lazybookwyrm[m]
I use isrchunt but it requires an existing Spotify link I believe
I edited the old d.ontune.s isrc submit from Spotify link script to work for isrchunt

ooi, what's the point of an ISRC? a matrix (IFPI) code identifies a particular recording...

aerozol: As soon as I release the next Harmony update you can paste the MB URL and submit ISRCs from any of the linked external sources.
