julian45: thanks. cool, didn't know about this plugin.
I first thought sozler would be some kind of online project, but when searching for it I only found various Turkish websites. "Sözler" is Turkish and means "words" in English. Knowing that the plugin name makes a lot of sense :)
* means "words" or as I understand "lyrics" in English.

omg, "time parser" is magic

<outsidecontext[m> "I first thought sozler would..." <- “şarkı sözleri” means lyrics but generally you don’t strictly have to put şarkı (song) in front of it since context is usually there

aerozol, yvanzo, bitmap: I just saw MBS-13804 - wondering, should we do the same for reviews as we do for blogs, and have a "Review" generic entry with its own logo? Possibly saying "Review (video)" or something if we know it's video rather than text?
So just show a similar icon, and "Review" for text I guess and either "Review" for video too or if doable, "Video review" or "Review (video)"
yvanzo[m]
OK, we don't have any relationship attribute taken into account for selecting the icon so far, right?
reosarevok[m]
No, hence wondering how easy it is. It's probably doable since we do check relationship. stuff there
yvanzo[m]
I don’t think it is worth it, honestly.
However, I fully agree that it is expected to have an icon for reviews.
reosarevok[m]
So just do "Review" for everything and let people hover to see if it's youtube or whatever?
yvanzo[m]
yes
reosarevok[m]
Ok, can do
yvanzo[m]
There are tickets related to it.
reosarevok[m]
Other tickets? Links? :)
yvanzo[m]
I will develop more about why I don’t think it is worth it at the moment: This is a can of worms, it requires deep refactoring of code, and it is out of current priorities (that I can remind if you forgot about).
reosarevok[m]
Oh, I was more thinking "I can do the video thing if it's trivial because we already have the data", not if we need to do any deep refactoring anywhere :)
yvanzo[m]
Yes, the trivial bits are welcome :)
But I know the related tickets are longer term.
reosarevok[m]
Ah, ok, that's what you meant
np
I was thinking maybe you meant this ticket was a duplicate
yvanzo[m]
No, I don’t think there was anything about reviews specifically. It is a small improvement until everything gets reworked.

I hope there is some kind of queue which stores failed CAA update tasks for releases which got merged while the IA is being in read-only mode?
yvanzo[m]
reosarevok: Of these 3 icons, the bubble looks to be the most appropriate to me, as we use a bubble in CB logo too. But anything trivial and approved by aerozol would work :)
kellnerd: Good question. There is a queue for some CAA updates, so something has been saved. For the details, dig the artwork-indexer repository or ask bitmap for detailed explanations.
reosarevok: Right, maybe the blog icon isn’t a good fit either.
reosarevok[m]
I don't necessarily disagree but changing that is a bigger change. I mean, not code-wise, just... for users, maybe? :)
But let's see what aerozol thinks!

where would i go to request the genre 'signalslush' to be added?
<duckfromdisc[m]> "where would i go to request..." <- Is that another vapour microgenre? Probably not going to add all of those tbh, there's a billion
duckfromdisc[m]
its a subgenre of slushwave which itself, yes, is a subgenre of vaporwave but it's a very big one
ive made both

"signalwave" is a genre in musicbrainz, it's called broken transmission with signalwave as an alias
is that the same?

duckfromdisc[m]
i was in a huge rush and forgot this important part of what i wrote: it's a combination
its signalwave + slushwave
i know ive made a huge fool of myself here saying its not necessarily a microgenre lol
aerozol[m]1
Asking for new genres is relatively straightforward. I would recommend cloning an existing genre request ticket on the ticket tracker and then swapping out what’s needed to change it to your requested genre.
