They're nice for static content that doesn't change like images

And super useful for links like “official website” where the original site is now defunct.

<aerozol[m]> "Also the language should be..." <- Thanks! I created an edit yesterday already for the language indeed, and I'll fix that barcode (and look for it on future additions I make!)
<aerozol[m]> "And super useful for links like..." <- Eh? I've always just added the site URL proper, with defunct status (and as far as I recall, I was fighting for inclusion of defunct URLs around the time NGS was implemented). Any lookup on Archive.org or otherwise (national library archives, etc.) is kind of implied, right? May be worth a implementing a more explicit sub-relationship for URLs to archived copies?

@Archie Buttle: that sort of thing has been proposed, but it's not here yet
you can of course also add the original URL with the ended status in addition to an archive link if you want
<elomatreb[m]> "you can of course also add the..." <- I mean, the whole "archive URLs are allowed" thing is news to me; seems a bit silly the proposal wasn't passed first, but oh well.

aerozol: linking an archive.org link as official homepage just doesn't seem right to me tbh - unless that's where the homepage lived, which I doubt.
It's a very weird implication
An artist whose official site is gone does not have an official site at archive.org instead. It just doesn't have one.

Oh dear, I seem to have broken things. I added a digital release to a release group that already had a CD release, plus I changed the title of the release to match the actual title, but also changed the artist name. That last bit was a mistake, so I cancelled my edits. But now there's only a franken-release of the CD and digital release left, and I can't seem to fix it anymore .... help!
