Hello everyone

I am currently trying to add a release, but I struggle with the Artist fields of the tracklist. It seems to me that the artists credited are not the performers but the composers. I am unsure if I should write what is on the booklet (then crediting the composers for each track), if I should keep the release artist, or do something else

Would anyone have inputs on that?

The default case is that the tracklist on Musicbrainz should follow the printed tracklist

the style guide can be found at https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Style (note the special "Classical" section), but feel free to ask for clarification if necessary

@elomatreb[m] no, it's jazz, but maybe the same applies. It is *Hat Snatcher* from André Ceccarelli Trio. For example, track 4 *April in Paris* lists Vernon Duke and E. Y. Harburg as the track artists, but they are obviously no the performers, since they were already very dead by the time this disk was recorded let alone released

I'll go with the artist names as listed, I guess the intent here was to highlight the composers

I think that's the best option, yeah

you can indicate the actual performers with recording relationships after adding the release

(ideally you would also upload a scan or photo of the cover/back cover/other relevant pages, because as far as I can tell that release doesn't have any scans on Discogs either)
