my music player automatically sorts artists in the browsing interface by their sort name, which is nice.

Which music player?

Rhythmbox on linux. Its interface is more or less a clone of mid-2000s itunes

So basically if you have artist credits in different languages, it will still group them together by sort name?

Hi! I came across the following two release groups of the same artist: https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/e4fbc1a2-... and https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/8068f278-... . Obviously on the second link the title of the release has a typo and no cover art. But the first link has other info missing. both have the same titles and barcode.

What would be the correct way to handle this? Merge both and keep the correct release title name? delete the one with the typo and add missing information on the other one?

(I also have the CD in hand, so I could recreate the DiscId)

Also finally a sort order for fiction that makes sense 😔

That's a sort order for non-fiction tho, you're gonna need something different for fiction ;) (more of a discussion for bookbrainz tho)
