does anybody recall offhand which is the preferred or default format for vinyl track numbers - numbers reset with each new side, or continue in sequence regardless of side - if the release doesn't specify anything at all?
I'm digging thru the docs ATM but it's taking longer to find than I expected
I could have sworn there was a preferred, default format, but I'm not finding any kind of note at all about it in the docs
maybe I am thinking of discogs's guidelines, lol. But the question still remains...... B1 or B(x)? lol

I’ve always assumed the numbers restart on each side, and I can’t recall ever seeing a release where the numbers keep climbing, though I’m sure they exist.

I've definitely seen plenty incremental listings. but I feel resetting is more the norm. I'm surprised I can't find anything within the docs
