It annoys me so much how bandcamp labels hardly ever provide enough information to disambiguate artist names easily

is there an easier way to match recordings to a tracklist? trying to add tracks to a release that was left empty, so I can't just base it off another release.

also, the source release (right) has 9 disks while the target has one medium, so even i could base it, i don't think i can merge them from the web?

I ended up using the API to save a list of the recording URLs and wrote a macro that copies and pastes them one at a time.

kinda wish we could disable these notifications
especially since they end up in my email as well
i guess i could merge release groups manually before merging releases but the tick box is so convenient :rip:

Fayne Aldan: unfortunately I don't think there is an automated way to match recordings in this way, save for the one you just invented (you're talking the Tears of the Kingdom soundtrack, I take it?)
FayneAldan[m]
UltimateRiff[m]: Yeah, I was actually just about to reply to your edit note. 😂
UltimateRiff[m]
lol

I could probably refine and post the script I used to parse the Nintendo Music API, if it would prove useful.
It just maps the tracks to a format usable by the track parser.
UltimateRiff[m]
I'm sure people would use it, and would be much easier (and more precise) than hand-typing 344 tracks, lol
FayneAldan[m]
I'd have to actually add API calls to the script (and dig the script out of my recycling bin lol), but I can also link to my source for the API info.
UltimateRiff[m]
does the macro also match track names when matching?
Btw, I could probably start scraping the per-track art. Would it be helpful to upload those to MB?

I noticed I can upload "cover art associated with each individual track of a release" (from docs), but should I put the track names in the comments? Is there a standard for that?
Does Picard even have a way to match track art to a track?
...and what do you do in the case of the Splatoon releases having multiple tracks with the same track art?
