zoe.division (@_discord_441382104455184385:chatbrainz.org) if you do go with Unicode dashes, I don't think dates technically get a Unicode Hyphen™, but a figure dash

(I don't remember offhand how well the userscript linked above handles the different types of dashes, so I usually manually change those)

Yknow, can't lie, as eager as I may be to adopt a new little-used punctuation mark 😅, *so far* I'm not finding examples online of using figure dashes for date strings......

Usage examples tend to center around telephone number strings.

As far as I understand, using figure dashes for dates is even wrong.

it's not like the dates are specifically meant to be machine-readable in the titles of releases, so it doesn't matter too much IMO

this will probably always be one of the areas where a small amount of editors have really strongly held convictions while most others don't really care

I understand it's library music but it seems to be full compositions by the composers listed?

In which case, I could add works if the titles were not a horrible mess seemingly missing all diacritics and with wrong caps for the Czech stuff :) Halp?

I see there's a dev version of isrcsubmit.py out there; should I be using the latest 2.x stable?

Should a VA collection of songs by a single author (either lyricist or composer) be credited to the author or VA and linked as tribute to said author?
