I guess it's a bit tricky if the soundtrack was never released? imo (and MB precedence, as I know it) it's fine to make a 'work' for a game. But if the music wasn't written for that game specifically it might complicate it/all the tracks might not really be a whole 'work'

I see. Yeah in some cases there are soundtracks released for original tracks, but not for existing tracks that got included in the game, so I'm not sure how that would be best approached. I guess since the music is part of a game and not available standalone in that combination, it's a bit out-of-scope for MB

You can always add a song as a recording or work (just knowing it exists is enough) but I'm not 100% sure how to link them all to the arcade game. Generally speaking the MB scope is about as wide as it can get 😄

rph: No, 'releases' have to be literal publicly available "releases", we don't make them up. Works can be more conceptual, but again they should probably be a collection of tracks that were conceptually composed to go together (rather than compilations). Grouping them with a tag or a personal collection is always all good though! (not sure series is appropriate)
