Hey notthejohn, I always set game packages to the outermost packaging (e.g. box). I also set the barcode etc to the full package. Music is complicated and messy though, and it's not always easy to be consistent... if a catalogue number is on the music CD and it is explicitly for the music for that label/publisher, I may use that 🫣 (etc)
It's fine for me at the moment, but we keep getting hit by AI scrapers who make stuff slow, so that might change

hey i noticed that the default user in the local setup isnt email verified so we would have to manually update the DB to test verified user flows. would it make sense to have an alt user as well who is verified by default so both user flows could be tested ?

(seems they no longer list it at all on the label page either... so this is what we have to work with, it's ok)

im curious, probably a stupid question, but does the database use anything postgres specific? why choose postgres over other dbs? I get that it's good, but could there be other ones that are just as good or faster?

sakgoyal: postgres is extremely reliable for us, and our team has decades of combined knowledge using it. reliability & experience are important

if you mean "things that aren't in the sql standard," then yeah, we use tons of postgres-specific things

i didn't mean to move away from sql. the whole "no sql" thing is not a good idea. I was more thinking in terms of speed. are there other dbs that could be faster but have never been tried? or do the features like sharding and replicas and stuff require specifically postgres

I know, I just meant that even the SQL we use is postgres-specific :)

of course other databases might be faster, but we don't have performance issues with postgres (that are inherent to it I mean, not talking about poorly-optimized queries or indexes)
