Hi! I am adding a cassette to MusicBrainz with quite odd declaration of artists. It is a children's songs production by a German label, and does not carry an official artist name. But each single track has listed the same names as artists, which is jsut a list of names of the children singing the songs. Should I create a new artist with the comma-separated names, or leave the artist blank / use "Various Artist" and use the

I think I got it figured out.

But: The booklet does not list track lengths. Can I also add track lengths determined myself (like, using a stop watch) ;)?

Not sure how you added the artists, but fyi we never add multiple artists as one, unless they are a group/band with that name (e.g. Simon, Nik, Bob and Ross would be added as four different artists)

<aerozol[m]> "Not sure how you added the..." <- I created each listed artist to MusicBrainz, then added those as a collaboration with the exact delimiters as printed on the release I have
Great work! I was also going to say that since it's children, the fact that it probably wont have their whole name makes artist entities a bit tricky. But that looks good

If someone with more experience with children's music makes edits don't be offended though, because I can imagine a few ways to do it and I'm not sure what consensus is

We also usually don't follow the typography that closely, and standardise a bit (e.g. I would probably have done Astrid, Jan, Martina, Sebastian & Tatjana, sowie Sabine Bohlmann & Jutta Neumann). Title I would probably do as: Kunterbunte Kinderlieder 9: Das Kau-Gummi-Krokodil

But no big deal :)

That would have been wrong, as "Kunterbunte Kinderlieder" is not the name of the series

The parts are numbered, but this is the only one named "Kunterbunte Kinderlieder"

Story behind this: I found a part of this cassette as a copy at the end of the B side of a mix tape from my mother, and it captivated me because I knew one song from it from my childhood. Took me weeks to dig up the original release from the internet, and get hold of an original cassette

I have a box of children's cassettes (music and audiobooks, some German) at my parent's, some day I will add them!!

Currently, I am waiting for a line-level USB audio grabber to arrive so I can hook up my cassette deck to my laptop and digitise the tape for my Jellyfin đ
