derwin: remastering may or may not be a new recording; the term is too vague to make any absolute statements.
(in some cases it might refer to going back to original tapes and making what's really a new mix, which would mean a new musicbrainz recording)

kepstin: I'd say that as a general rule of thumb remastering does not require a new recording, however in some cases the term is used inaccurately and may include re-editing or re-mixing, in which case a new recording should be used.
I'd be surprised a new recording is needed in more than 1% of cases

Before I get yelled at, what's the standards for cd cover art? The discog for a release has images but they're not on MB.
The Back tag explicitly says that it's not for back of the booklet.
I'll just put them both as booklet for now.

Sounds reasonable

I wonder if this script will do bandcamp images. Those are the releases that I mainly import.

Oh, CatQuest, I picked up some Displex but haven't tried it on any discs yet. The tube is definitely smaller than I expected from the picture.

CatQuest: allmusic is supported. some standalone ones aren't but you can copy the image URL into the paste box. If you encounter a popular site which isn't supported, give me a shout :)
