I have returned with more questions after recovering from a computer that shat itself.
If an artist releases work under their name and under a solo group name, how is that handled? Right now MB has both as completely separate artists.
I know they should be separate if it's a member of a group doing a solo thing, but what if they're both just the one person.

I've stumbled on that problem with the group "Sans Pression"
the group released an album (3 members) and then one member followed up with more albums under the group's name
he also did a lot of featured appeareances with other artists under his name "SP"
and also under "Sans Pression"
so for albums I left it "Sans Pression" and for featured appearances I credited SP (as Sans Pression)
I'm not sure I'm fully satisfied with my solutin though... it's kind of a mess
hehe

PelvicSorcery: I'm assuming there is difference between one artist and the other and the discography is not interchangeable (otherwise it would seem kind of absurd to do both)
If so, then two artists is correct :)
PelvicSorcery
What do you mean by the discography not being interchangeable?

PelvicSorcery
She's good peeps.
Now I need to figure out how to create a new artist with the same name as an artist from the 80s and properly disambiguate them.
reosarevok
Well, the new one you probably know enough about
The old one, in the worst case scenario, can just be "artist from the 80s" :)
PelvicSorcery
Yes, but I'm not sure what to put as disambiguation. :D
