hey, quick question. in the artist as credited field for a song, if the band has changed their name (but this release was before the change), should the field use the current name or the then name?

The albums with the new cover art would be a new release (in the same release group). I assume that both the old name and the new name point to the same artist record, with one of the names (likely they old name) shown as a "performs as" alias?

Easiest way is to copy the existing release and then just make the changes on the copy.

yeah i suppose it was done for the latest, tekkno, since it was the first released under new name but older stuff like we are the mess seems to lack the new stuff
