how do i tell what type of cd a disc is? a ton of releases under the label of the release i'm adding are cd-r, but i'm not sure about this one

cd-info says Disc mode is listed as: CD-DA

also, is there any section for storing cd-text on a release page?

putting in what i know for a fact is CD-R also reports CD-DA

Is it possible to query a recording by artist, but the name is the artists alias and not the official name?

This recording exists with the artist name in Hebrew חנן בן ארי

zayd: is there pressing info on the matrix of your CD? Or just a few numbers? If there’s a unique matrix code/letters then you can at least confirmed that it’s not CDR

CDR’s also tend to have a green sheen, in my experience. But I am in no way an expert!

When in doubt, set to CD and upload scans of the top and bottom of the CD 👌

aerozol[m]1: i don't see a green sheen in my lighting, but the matrix says "CD-R" with some numbers after it

so i'll update that accordingly

It’s not too bad - if you’re working from a release you can batch add works and also batch add the lyricist relationship (assuming it’s the same for all tracks)

p.s. find the screen to batch add works/relationships by going to a release page, and then the ‘edit relationships’ tab

Lyricist/composer writes the work, the artist performs the work (and makes a recording of that performance). Most works are pretty simple.

No, you can set an "instrumental" attribute on the relationship that links the Recording to the Work

and there's a note about mastering when i add to the recording; does it mean I have to go to the release and then add Mastering under "Release relationships"?

Personally I would just add what I can decipher, and put a note in the release annotation with the whole sentence, in case someone else can make sense of it. Sounds like you’re doing a very solid job of adding this release!!
