if i change a release group type, and add a new release, when the release group type vote passes will it auto propagate?

lol its messing me up so bad seeing super obscure artists and releases shown on tags with very few releases to their name

why don't release group genres go to releases?

type is only at the release group level, so yes

I'm finishing up a beets genre plugin and I have it grab tags from both levels, because yeah, most tags are at release group level (which tbf is probably the better place to add them)

and i realized maybe it's better to keep bandcamp tags at release level (for the ones that have them) and do actual genres at release group level

Is it possible to seed the time attribute to an existing event-artist relation? I tried with the same relation target but it just adds an additional relation, including the time. Leaving the exisiting one untouched.

before i tell someone the wrong thing; we normally suggest that if someone wants to change their performance name (obvious recent example would be Kanye West now going by just Ye) that past releases under their original performance name should be maintained right?
