zoe.division: I use (and originally wrote) the "Submit ISRC" plugin in Picard to handle that. Once I have tagged and saved an album in Picard, I right-click on the album in the right-hand pane and select Submit ISRC from the plugins context menu. It submits any ISRCs in your files that don't already exist in MusicBrainz, and shows the status of the submission in a pop-up.
Sorry, I right-click and submit after I have matched the files to tracks in the right-hand pane but before saving the album.

Alright so, you mentioned ISRCs in the *files*..... can I also use this plugin simply to read what's on the disc and submit those? no files involved?
BobSwift[m]
Sorry, nope. It's files based. I use whipper here to rip my CDs to files, and it will include any ISRCs found on the CD as an ISRC tag in the ripped files. That's where the plugin is grabbing it from.
It did many years ago but I haven't used it in years

i don't see any reason it would have broken, looks like it's set up to handle oauth via launching a browser (or maybe just showing a link in the terminal)

In that case, it might be of use, zoe.division

note that there are sometimes issues reading isrcs off CDs where tools can sometimes "slide" isrcs to the wrong track, it's good to review manually before submission. I don't recall exactly what the ui of musicbrainz-isrcsubmit is like regarding that.
(the way isrcs are stored in subchannels on cds makes them kind of hard to read in software, and it's tricky at times to line up the read isrc with the track breaks)
looks like the musicbrainz-isrcsubmit tool has some detection for that case
