oemb1905 [gnulinux.club]: You can sign up for an account in MB, and then edit releases. However, please be cautious - the original edit notes for Vol 3 there gives this as the source, which does indeed list track 31: https://web.archive.org/web/20060512122816/http:/…
      • 2025-11-23 32729, 2025

      • aerozol[m]
A look on Soulseek also finds a track 31 for that comp - it seems more likely that the later upload that you linked is missing it, rather than it not being part of the original release.

is it possible to query edits that involve ENDED URL relationships in particular without mirroring the db?
      • 2025-11-23 32719, 2025

      • elomatreb[m]
macularguide (@_discord_747382596253777991:chatbrainz.org) I think the best you can do is filtering for the "edit relationship" edit type and using the "relationship type" filter to narrow it to the URL relationships
      • 2025-11-23 32741, 2025

      • elomatreb[m]
e.g. https://musicbrainz.org/search/edits?auto_edit_fi… - but note the editor filter as well, if I don't include that the search times out every time

ty - i'll probably mirror the db at some point for this purpose, someone i know is trying to scrape a ton of spotify data and i told them they're not gonna have any coverage for removed releases unless they already have removed release URL's
      • 2025-11-23 32713, 2025

      • elomatreb[m]
yeah this will be a lot easier with a direct SQL query on the database

Thanks for finding that on web archive, they recently took the server down. It was up as of this june. I just emailed Kogar as to what the definitive Volume 3 should contain (30 or 31). His original post on blogspot (shortly after his first on blog.wmfu did not contain it, nor did his remaster of Vol. 3 some years later. So, depending on what he messages back, there might be a need for a second version/release. As for the

If you have the link to the first release, and it doesn't have the track, then excellent. If it's more like "it was probably included in the first release but Kogar themselves say it's not canonically in there" then we still wouldn't remove the track. Any later versions with a different tracklist would be a different release

I'm not super attached to this release, so I won't stop you! But it's weird that copies on soulseek do have track #31, it indicates that it was at some point part of the album. Unless people added it themselves, which is possible

<aerozol[m]> "oemb1905 [gnulinux.club]: You..." <- This post is from a person named "Lukas" who came across the compilation in Soulseek, not from Kogar. I just re-read it again closely after all these years. I went ahead and tallied all Kogar's post for Vol. 3 and triple checked; none of them, including the originals have a #31. Waiting to hear back from Kogar. If he made a mistake on this, it was sometime before 2006. Thanks
