thank you. Does coreteam have ops here? I never checked. Perhaps that'd be a good idea for us to have in the future. and some docs for how to do this :)
sorry about that adeleglise
adeleglise

I will have some R&D time allocated next week, and I plan on working on some new tools to power our metadata management

I will also ask to publish my work, if something worth publishing comes out of it :p

Heads up: I’m about to set the channel in "registered only" mode. If you have not registered (and identified) with NickServ, now is a good time to do so: https://libera.chat/guides/registration

I mean, if there is a nice k8s or nomad implementation of the *brainz packages
lucifer
don't think so.
adeleglise
argh, i'm not registered on libera
alastairp
Freso: do you mind leaving -r for now while we discuss with adeleglise
adeleglise
I will probably deploy meta, acoustic and listen in k8s
Freso
alastairp: As long as they don’t get disconnected, they won’t be kicked. And yes, I do mind.
reosarevok
Isn't that only for joining?
alastairp
adeleglise: no k8s, but we use docker-compose in development. Are you interested in working with all apps, or just musicbrainz?
Freso
reosarevok: It is.
reosarevok
Ok :)

PICARD-2330: Changes do not show when script editor is closed and re-opened from Options dialog
outsidecontext
that's interesting. it's all because we delay actually saving in this case because we consider it part of the options then, right? I'm not sure about this really :(
given the current model it's kind of expected, but not really what the user might expect.
maybe the "save" should be labeled differently in this case?
rdswift
Yeah, I'm not really sure how best to handle this. Perhaps re-enable the "unsaved changes" warning, but that would seem odd as well.
outsidecontext
yes. also it would actually save if you save the options
maybe we could show some info about pending changes in Options > Filenaming?
or we actually remove this behavior, and the script editor always saves immediately. maybe we are overthinking this
would also simplify things I guess
rdswift
That would actually be the easiest solution, and consistent behavior might be a good thing. ;-)
outsidecontext
yes. I mean the original thinking was that it should behave like e.g. the cover art types dialog
but since script editor is also available separately a consistent behavior likely is better
zas?
zas
yup, +1 for consistency
rdswift
Okay, I'll start looking at the changes required, and see what else might be impacted.
