So similarly, had no time to think about design. I dig the tags though! I like the simplicity of it, they look quite clean (and I was getting nowhere trying to find a color that would work so white/transparent solves that)

I'm on the fence about showing the +/- buttons to vote. I think if we don't show them it won't be clear at all that a user can vote, and also I think we'll want to keep single click interaction to navigate to a genre radio (in the future)

Not sure about showing the number of votes; not sure it's needed. Currently they are sorted by number of votes

yvanzo: I can't see anything obvious in the openresty configs for search.

atj: even if you drop the type query parameter: https://search.musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release?query…

atj: that query likely won't work on mb ws because it performs some modifications on the params before calling search.mb.lrh

      • lucifer
i had modified the params manually to try to recreate what an internal call from mb ws to search.mb would look like acc to my understanding

atj: I read and article a couple of years back that talked about mastondon being rife with abusive behaviour. I can't find that article... its just buried in more current things. few of which are really taking a close look at mastondon. but there is this: https://lucumr.pocoo.org/2022/11/14/scaling-masto…
