just looking at the /1/user/{user}/listens endpoint, it seems like the JSON returned is a bit different

Nothing like starting the day with sockpuppet banning. Sigh
Also, chaban with the small 50-ish spammer account report to start the day :D
(thanks chaban, I hate it :D )
(but keep at it)
yvanzo: a basic spambrainz feature we could implement without any machine learning: if more than 50% of users from an IP or an email domain are marked as spammers, automatically notify account-admins on new users matching them
(just found an email domain which is literally 100% spammers so far)

reosarevok: chaban: excellent work as always
reosarevok: do we have any spambrainz tools at the moment? I’ve been staying hands off unless I see an email during my awake time where someone needs immediate blocking
zas: yes, for me as well. but the user says the final image URL as returned by the CAA API works for them only if changed to https. The default http URL does gives a connection refused, both in Picard and in Browser
"so it accessed caa with http just before" <- that's the "no", because first http call fails. And it is also not limited to Picard but also happens in the browser
So maybe the user has some odd firewall or something blocking all non-https requests
zas
yup, my bad, the request to index.json is over https
the rest is over http, because that's how the URLs are giving in this index
given*
outsidecontext
exactly
zas
btw, we could somehow rewrite them, and enforce https
outsidecontext
I mean it also opens the question why the CAA does not use https for those URLs. But that's secondary here
zas
bitmap: ^^
outsidecontext
yes, but reqwriting feels like a hack that could fail any time. if then this should be changed on the CAA side, where URLs are actually controlled
zas: regarding your last question on the ticket they already answered that: "In the browser it works for me when I change the url to https, otherwise I get a connection refused too."

so it might be a firewall issue on his side related to http?

that's my suspicion, hence the question whether they can access other http URLs
