Hi, can someone help me how to estimate number of weeks for the project based upon number of hours of the project and what would be optimal number of weeks for 175h and 350h projects?
rdswift
I think it all depends on how many hours you plan to work per week. If you plan to work 30 hours per week, then a 175 hour project should take 6 weeks.
munishk
Is there any minimum commitment for hours/max limit on weeks?
to keep room for some flexibility in case of unseen circumstances
may 27 - aug 26 is the timeline for all projects. you can plan hours/week commitment inside this range as needed. for more flexibility, you can include community bonding in the coding period as well so may 1 - aug 26.

<02ericd23_> lucifer: would you mind take a look at this https://github.com/metabrainz/listenbrainz-serv.... also seems tags radio endpoint has room for improvement, wonder how can I help in general if that's needed

<02ericd23_> lucifer: thx. regarding improvements, basically what's mentioned in LB-1544? might be a good chance to dig into spark setup too.
Aditionally, I have tried creating spectrograms, converting sampling rates of audio files, using pre trained models for feature extractions etc on Ballroom dataset ( a famous dataset for tempo estimation)

If anyone here is already running macOS Sonoma, it would be great if you could test if Picard is working for you (especially if web requests are working without SSL errors).
mayhem: ListenBrainz was unavailable for an hour or so yesterday and on investigation, i found that some user had tried to delete their listens 30 or so times. causing database connections to exhaust so ^

ouch.
oh nice on that PR. we've needed that for a while.
Hey lucifer (IRC) , In the project overview for Subsonic Integration, its written:
"LB would like to be able to stream music from a private music collection using web apps like Navidrome, Funkwhale and other apps that implement the Subsonic API"
But why do we need Navidrome or Funkwhale to play music from a private collection, can't we just do that directly by communicating with the Subsonic server usiing the Subsonic API?
lucifer
Satyaraj[m]: Navidrome and Funkwhale are alternative implementations of the Subsonic API.
Satyaraj[m]
So Is it not fixed yet, which one we're using?
lucifer
We want to support all.
Users can choose any one they like to use
all of them have a common API, subsonic API. so more or less you only need to add support for it and you get funkwhale navidrome support for free.
outsidecontext
also all of navidrome, funkwhale and also gonic have very MB friendly subsonic implementations (e.g. supporting MusicBainz IDs)
Satyaraj[m]
<lucifer> "all of them have a common API..." <- Can you please elaborate on this a bit? I mean how do we get navidrome and funkwhale support?
lucifer
Satyaraj[m]: the API for funkwhale, navidrome and subsonic is same.

reosarevok: We will have a call with shared screen next time so we can check that again. :)

* their implementations in LB will be the
lucifer
yes most of the code will be the same.
Satyaraj[m]
I misunderstood you, i thought by implementing subsonic, we'll automatically implement Navidrome, etc
* i thought you meant: by implementing

(maybe you have seen the error before - I didn't remember we even support github SSO)

I also noticed an issue myself, looks like the timer that calculates elapsed time only goes up to a certain amount of time, and past that it starts logging a second listen for the same track. I'll open a ticket
