security folks i follow on social media have been complaining about crowdstrike for a while, apparently it doesn't just have a kernel driver but also injects code into applications, and is a big source of confusing "there's no way that could happen" crashes in applications :/
i've heard some speculation that the azure outage might have been the cause of the cs outage, heh.

Speaking of cluster fucks, X locked me out of the musicbrainz account unless I added a birthdate. So I added the MB “birthday” because anyone would be able to figure it out, and now X has locked the account because MB was “not of age when the account was created” 🤦
