LB team: I can’t find a ticket for the new last.fm importer? I assume there isn’t one?

“@metabrainz Thanks a lot! I finally decided to disconnect from lfm, wipe out the data and connect again, disabling dual scrobbling. Now I have the same amount of listens on both services, which a few months ago sounded like a miracle to me.

The only caveat is that asynchronous listens (listens sent afterwards by a client that was registering them offline) don’t seem to sync well. I had to disconnect and connect again to make LB fetch those, which in turn could create new dupes. So…”

Hey mayhem and monkey , these are my rough drafts for the LB homepage update, based on the notes at the summit. My plan is to create some beautiful (hopefully!) icons for the homepage. Clicking on them will take you to a new bottom section of the vertical scroll, which is more information heavy. Users who keep scrolling will also eventually see that information.

Probably the main benefit of this approach is that it is pretty simple. We can change or add new icons to the homepage any time, as they don’t take up too much space (for instance, if we want to add another icon for “AI ready”, etc). The information layout at the bottom will also be simple to populate, and will easily adjust for mobile. Other options (e.g. nicely formatting everything into the landing page) will be less

flexible/more time consuming to update

Note that the bigger icons are more complex versions of the icons that are on the landing page/at the top. Feedback on the icons chosen is welcome, making nice icons will probably be the biggest part of the job (on my end), so let’s get them right

Mobile is pretty obvious for that bottom section, I think, but here it is

I have not yet figured out how to get the icons from the top nicely into mobile, but it is only a few swipes to get to the bottom, so I am thinking of hiding them there. Alternatively, having one iconsthat animates/swaps between the three

Which brings me to my final note for monkey and mayhem - let me know if you want me to put all of this in a ticket or a doc. Otherwise I am happy to sieve through the feedback on here

Hey ansh! btw I just opened LB on my phone while logged out/in a private session (to work on the homepage updates) and it looks like BrainzPlayer still hides the login button on the homepage? I thought you had fixed that but maybe not? Let me know if I can help with something

Actually brainzbot already had all permissions, so I don't know if it well help. But at least discord users can add pictures now

I'm looking at the tracklists issue -- I didn't realize its a transient issue.

is that the case for you as well?

I see it consistently

In particular in the fresh releases page, usually new albums (that are out and have a tracklist on MB) don't show any tracklist on LB
