[20:49] aerozol[m] Heads up for the LB team, I made a ticket related to the cold start issue mentioned as priority at the summit: https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/LB-1671 linked in the summit notes I also made a ticket like that
BrainzBot
LB-1671: Cold start: Indicate when "Created for You" will populate
LB-1644: Create a "How to get my Listens into ListenBrainz" page
aerozol[m]
Thanks LupinIII! I thought there was one but I kept searching for āCreated for Youā so it didnāt turn up. Iāll link the two, I think the ticket I made is a good sub-ticket to your one.

yvanzo: I see someone reported image uploading is back - should we release a beta today with image editing unlocked, and see how it develops?
yvanzo[m]
See back logs from yesterday.
reosarevok[m]
Ah, ok. Sorry, I didn't think to read Sunday logs :)
So, yes, but we need to also unlock other stuff than the code, right?
I guess I can start by putting up a PR reverting the block in code for beta, and bitmap can look into the other parts when around
yvanzo[m]
That is an option. I also suggested having a configuration entry to allow/restrict image editing, so we can change it more quickly.
reosarevok[m]
So make it depend on dbdefs? I guess we could also do that

MonkeyPython: I am working on a PR for the partial dates problem. Not a parsing problem at all -- the exact opposite -- a serializing problem
yvanzo[m]
Yes.

monkey[m]
Huh.
That's gonna be a good help, the problem is much more visible now that we can sort by date
I hadn't realized myself, and the problem was reported by a user
if any of the date part is null, the whole date will be null.
happens for release groups in artist data cache as well.

yvanzo, reosarevok: any thoughts about https://community.metabrainz.org/t/unordered-ta... should i file a ticket (or two, if search hints seemingly not being used is also unexpected)? my dev machine is sadly probably too underpowered for me to try to debug search issues :-/

reosarevok[m]
derat: it's not a tag lookup issue, in any case, tag lookup just uses external search
reosarevok: i think that what i'm seeing is the same as what's described in https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/SEARCH-631. searching for "Sonic Seducer: Cold Hands Seduction Vol. 251" returns a release, but s/Vol/Volume/ and there's nothing (unless i also supply "Various Artists" as the artist, in which case i seem to get all VA releases in an arbitrary order)
BrainzBot
SEARCH-631: Search fails if Volume isn't formatted correctly
monkey[m]
mayhem: A good example of what we were talking about: user stats are currently frozen since last Wednesday 6th. Not sure why, and users aren't alerted either and are left guessing
mayhem[m]
lucifer: ^^ can you please take a look at the frozen stats? And can you please share with us what the probelm was?
lucifer: hmm. there is a timescale-writer-prod running on gaga and kiss. is that intentional? so if one gets stuck, the other can continue?

does that still need to get committed to docker-server-configs?

We have a bunch of mailed in reviews today!

'''
Last week, I mainly worked on the upcoming - in two weeks from now - upgrade for MusicBrainz mirrors.
That includes producing/loading Solr 9 data dumps, and deploying mirrors through Docker Compose v2.
Plus code reviews, support and maintenance, as usual.

Hi Everyone!
I am finally making my comeback now. Yay!! I worked on both our android and ios apps and have started to fix the road to production. Fixing some loose ends and hoping to bring both the latest updates to production soon with a blog post. Still some way to go on this front but the progress is happening!
Other than that I have fixed my schedule now finally and I now exist in the 5AM club lmao. I took good use of my jetlag to fix my schedule. But yeah this means that I now sleep by 9AM IST and it might be a while before you see me online for our weekly meets but feel free to mention me or reach out anytime on the channel!
fin. Thank you!

I did check for some changes that I can make in melba.
Currently for getting edit data URLs we are using the JsonValue. Now I am working on using proper rust structs for the edit types, which is basically a better way than JsonValue
This one particular change was once suggested by rustynova earlier, and now I got the chance to implement it

And atj just said they'd be off today
I think that's all!

Last week I did code reviews for Picard and plugins (still some reviewing open Todo, will get to this) and answered tickets. Also looked into code signing again
Looks like Azure Trusted Signing might be the easiest and cheapest solution. It's in beta, but can be used. I wrote a bit more about this today in the Picard chat channel.
