I think consul config change, + didn't find a value upon first restart: "Could not parse SQLAlchemy URL from string 'SERVICEDOESNOTEXIST_pgbouncer-master'"
So LatestListenedAtFilterElement filters out all tracks that have been listened to recently, within some time window?
Both of these users are brand new, so all their listens are new, and get filtered out
mayhem[m]
yes
not enough data, as I said.
monkey[m]
Mmm.
mayhem[m]
so the problem is not a hosting issue, but a daily jams issue. but given that this isn't really a feature for everyone, I am not mad keen on doing a lot of work to make these happen.
but, not having a way to report this to users is not great.
monkey[m]
Yeah, the silence makes it look like a bug
And to be fair, perhaps daily jams could do something else to palliate this situation with new users. Although I understand it's not a priority considering it's an alpha sort of feature
mayhem: Did I understand correctly that those new LB users should have a daily jams playlist generated starting tomorrow?
mayhem[m]
if we get the wording right and deploy today, yes.
monkey[m]
OK, I'll manage expectations
mayhem[m]
good. and help me finalize the wording so we can start the PR/deploy process

mayhem[m]
ok, how about the text for the normal daily jams?
monkey[m]
Commented too, I had missed that it had changed
mayhem[m]
it never existed before, lol.

LupinIII (IRC): how can I tell if the cron container can be restarted or not?
s/LupinIII/lucifer:/, s/(IRC)//
lucifer[m]
mayhem: its fine to do it atm, but in general we have the terminate_lb_cron script in docker-server-configs that performs the checks and terminates the container if sage.
all re-run and 196 users should now have Daily Jams. not bad for a feature that people told me no one wanted, lol.
good morning Bob Swift
BobSwift[m]
'Morning. Just getting ready to post a link to a list of items we might want to discuss.
For our meeting, I put together a list of items that we might want to discuss, along with a DRAFT summary of the agreed path forward and possible next steps. https://github.com/rdswift/musicbrainz-docs/wik...
mayhem[m]
aight, time to get moving?
BobSwift[m]
Works for me.
mayhem[m]
first up, markup vs MKDocs.
monkey: uses markdown for BB and I think this is an option we should explore.
I find the sphinx syntax to be a bit.... obfuscated.
thoughts wileyfoxyx or Bob Swift ?
wileyfoxyx[m]
I agree with you
mayhem[m]
how many pages using the sphinx markup do we already have?
BobSwift[m]
There is a way to use markdown with Sphinx (along with reST). See https://cerodell.github.io/sphinx-quickstart-gu... I plan to build a small test project locally to see how it handles translation files. monkey and I had some discussion on this, and it wasn't clear that MkDocs would work with weblate.

mayhem[m]
ok, should we defer this question until this research is done?
BobSwift[m]
The other thing to consider is that markdown is much more difficult to use if you are trying to do any special formatting such as "See Also" and "Note" sections. A bit dated, but an interesting article... https://www.ericholscher.com/blog/2016/mar/15/d...
wileyfoxyx[m]
To that I say yes.
rdswift: so you can't use Markdown to make those "see also" blocks?
mayhem[m]
BobSwift[m]: that articlale is 9 years old -- how relevant are the concerns there today?
BobSwift[m]
I should be able to do the test within a couple of hours. If it works, I suggest we use Sphinx with the markdown enabled. If not, then we can probably use MkDocs as has been used for BookBrainz.
mayhem[m]
k, so, lets wait on that.
BobSwift[m]
wileyfoxyx[m]: You can, but it is significantly more complex than doing it in reST.
* in reST. (In my opions, having tried both.)
reosarevok[m]
As long as we can translate, it's not super important, but we should make sure we don't block ourselves out of that
BobSwift[m]
My suggestion is to wait until after my test.
reosarevok[m]
Sure
mayhem[m]
onward to themes?
BobSwift[m]
As for the article being old, from what I can tell most of the concerns are still valid.
wileyfoxyx[m]
As for themes, I prefer the one used in rdswift proof-of-concept.
reosarevok[m]
I expect themes are easy to switch and not dependent on the content?
(so they don't need to be perfect at first)
mayhem[m]
monkey says he just took some existing theme, changed some colors and done.
BobSwift[m]
I can see a LOT of benefit from standardizing on a theme for all MeB documentation projects (perhaps using different colour schemes to differentiate).
