false alarm, I had forgotten to apply the volume change to /var/solr, it's working now

there's no [rabbitmq] section in config.ini, so it seems that consul-template cannot find the rabbitmq-clash service

The RABBITMQ_SERVICE is set to rabbitmq-clash in the container environment as expected.

yeah, I also see it listed in curl http://10.10.10.29:8500/v1/catalog/services (from inside the container)

also tried consul-template -consul-addr='10.10.10.29:8500' -template='config.ini.ctmpl:config2.ini' -once to see if it outputs any errors but it doesn't, just silently outputs the config without a rabbitmq section

There is a rabbitmq section.

okay, for some reason. your local database got deleted.

stopping the container doesn't do that, the docker volume was/got removed.

run the two commands to recreate your database from the docs.

./develop.sh manage init_db -c and ./develop.sh manage init_ts_db -c

should i delete this db or everything from the docker and then run these two commands ? and then build again

the database was deleted already which is why you faced the error. you just need to run the two commands and the website will load fine again.
