I've just noticed that our Discourse profile preferences still offer an option that is called "IRC nick (optional): Nickname used in the #musicbrainz and #metabrainz IRC channels on freenode."

It should probably say Matrix/IRC/ChatBrainz now, but at least the reference to freenode should go.
