rdswift: it mostly worked. The languages no longer show up in the components. They are still on the overview at https://translations.metabrainz.org/projects/pica… . That seems to be because they show up in the glossary, even though they are empty there. I'll try to remove the languages from there as well.

rdswift: I was suspecting that the "add missing languages" add-on, which ensures languages added to one component are added to other components as well, was responsible for this due to some bug or such. We have this enabled for picard-docs due to the many components. But then I found that the PicardBarcodeScanner app experienced the same issue, just nearly a month earlier. Huge amount of empty languages added:
And no "add missing languages" add-on active there

The commit message does say "Co-authored-by: Languages add-on <noreply-addon-languages@weblate.org>", though. I have disabled this add-on for picard-docs for now

I have cleaned up the glossary as well. But I think the overview page will always show more languages if they are used in one of the linked glossaries from other projects.

PicardBarcodeScanner also had the "add missing languages" active, I looked at the wrong place before. So this is my current suspiction: "add missing languages" added languages found in linked glossaries. Which I think would be a change in behavior and probably a bug. I'll try to find out more and report this to Weblate
<outsidecontext[m> "I have cleaned up the glossary..." <- Hmmm... It didn't show that before as far as I can tell. Perhaps something changed in the way this is being handled. Thanks for looking into this.

I just checked and the picard-docs summary page on Weblate hasn't changed. It still shows all the languages (with some at high completion percentages when there have been no picard-docs translations entered), and shows French as incomplete (less than 100%) even though every string has been translated. Still a nightmare from my perspective.

I think there was probably some change on how linked glossaries are handled. But can't say for sure. We should reach out to the Weblate team, but I currently don't have the energy to dig into this. For now I have disabled the add missing languages addon to prevent this happening again too soon.
