lucifer: I think there might be issues introduced with the listens caching (only thing I can think of): I can see listens I am listening to currently on the LB prod website, but not on the beta website (which I updated today, contains the caching PR).

I get that we are supposed to cache responses, but I think it breaks the main functionality of the website at the moment. I'm worried about one of us deploying a new prod version of LB with this caching

[@monkey:chatbrainz.org](https://matrix.to/#/@monkey:chatbrainz.org) the timescale writer containers need to be updated with the caching PR as well

If those are updated, and it is still broken I can revert the changes.

<lucifer[m]> "[@monkey:chatbrainz.org](https:/..." <- Hi lucifer: could the IA. Search issue related to the recent caching changes ? I saw u mentioned that listens caching or might have broken the functionality and that the timescale writer container needs an update may be that is affecting the IA search ? Just guessing !

rayyan_seliya: the search on LB is indeed based only on recordings in MusicBrainz, so you could only search and play if it exists there. However there are many ways users can send listens to LB, for example if playing music on the IA website with a scrobbler extension installed. If then you tried to go on a person's profile and play that track, it can be plaid directly from the IA because we know the source.

That being said, it would be to add the available IA music to the search. Not sure how many people actively search for 78RPM cylinders, but if we expand to other music collections it might make sense
