interesting... for some reason, no matter what release i look at (at least in firefox), all of the recording-level relationships are displaced to below the tracklist, and even relationships that aren't usually meant to be visible (like streaming links) are visible. see screenshot below, which was taken with all userscripts forcibly disabled:

If I'm running a local musicbrainz server via Docker, can I query that for coverart? The API spec uses 'coverartarchive.org', which seems to be a machine owned by metabrainz, but when I run my overnight queries it occasionally gives me errors (presumably due to rate limiting?)

adhawkins (IRC): it's indeed possible to run https://github.com/metabrainz/artwork-redirect locally, but it's not included with musicbrainz-docker, so would require some setup to configure properly

So I could set this as the proxy server used by libcaa and it should 'just work'?

adhawkins (IRC): yes, IIRC the cover-art-archive dump is imported by musicbrainz-docker by default, and those tables are replicated, so it should work if you point it to your local DB
      • 2025-11-05 30951, 2025

      • adhawkins
That's what I thought. Is the DB a seperate container in the docker mirror setup? Are the database connection parameters easy to find to be able to put them into the 'artwork-redirect' container?

      • bitmap[m]
adhawkins (IRC): the DB is a separate container. so I could see two options...if you're publishing the DB port to your host machine (there should be info about this in the mb-docker README), then you can run artwork-redirect outside of Docker. alternatively, you might be able to modify docker/docker-compose.dev.yml in the artwork-redirect repo to connect to the same Docker network
      • 2025-11-05 30929, 2025

      • adhawkins
I was going to run it under docker to keep the whole thing isolated. Just need to work out what credentials to put into the config file for the redirect so that it can access the database.
      • 2025-11-05 30926, 2025

      • adhawkins
I think I could add another compose override file to the main MBS setup to start the redirect as part of the same compose file.
      • 2025-11-05 30905, 2025

      • bitmap[m]
if you can get it working with a compose file override then host=db / port=5432 should work in the artwork-redirect config

        The default just work?
      • 2025-11-05 30913, 2025

      • bitmap[m]
I think musicbrainz / musicbrainz are the mb-docker defaults for those, but you might have to add the password to the artwork-redirect config at least
