I’ve been gripping my iOS development skills lately

Wrote a blog on automating deployment to the app store

Maybe we can make a progress to our iOS app! I’ve moved to an iPhone and I NEED the MusicBrainz app

CatQuest: I was just thinking about Good Omens today

I’ve been sleeping a lot this past week. The heat is making it hard to wake up in the morning and hard to go to sleep in the evening. :x Managed to poke a bit at some flags etc., but not much else.

And Friday was midsummer.

Hopefully a good sleep at least!!

I’ll be having surgery Wednesday morning, so I won’t be around Wednesday. I think I will be fine for Thurs and Fri, but we’ll see.

Pratha-Fish: no worries. remember that looking up MBIDs in the mapping is almost half of the entire project anyway, so... spend a few days on getting the lookup tested and optimised and then we can leave it running over the weekend to get enough data for the next series of tests

skelly37, that's likely it. We might want to add a general comment somewhere about it using a single instance by default. I'm not sure where, so I'll have to see if there is a good spot to include that.

Sounds good. You can also mark it as "Do not merge" with a 3.0 milestone if you didn't want to keep it as DRAFT.

alastairp: Yes, currently even the data loading procedure is taking 13s to load 3.6M rows!

(That reminds me I am also working on a custom vectorized csv/tsv parser on the side to speed it up a little)

Pratha-Fish: is this loading directly with pandas? it could be worth seeing if it's faster to load manually and then turn into a dataframe - but this also comes back to our previous discussions about if pandas is the correct tool to use for the large-scale analysis

These jobs are misbehaving since Wed 22th.

bitmap, reosarevok: The only wrong thing in logs is that “No more linked entities found for sequence ID” (in core entity tables) has a lot more occurrences: usually thousands, now hundreds of thousands.

yvanzo: just remembered, you had most of the AC gid implementation ready, right? What was missing?

I have seen some linkedEntities errors in sentry too, but quite few iirc
