reosarevok: I suspect everyone in that room has made a music schema at one point which was unceremoniously forgtten the moment that the grant funding ran out

although it was really interesting to see it coming from the perspective of "we are musicologists and now we need to learn how to use computers and make our own databases of the data that we deal with in order to understand it better"

which is really different to "we build databases, and we want people to come and add stuff to our DB"

enough access databases to last a lifetime

anyway I am heartened if me adding old ancient not-in-use-any-longer instruments is actually usfull to these guys

a guy from the library of congress gave a talk on how they improved their list of instruments (it was _terrible_ previously)

they (like us in some places) require an example of the instrument being used in the catalog before adding it

however unlike us, it takes something like 3 committees and 6 months to get added 🤣

I mean I am slowly adding things from 2,3,4 yeats ago..

but I guess I'm one cat doing the work of 3 comitees? :DDD

Hey lucifer I went through the https://tickets.metabrainz.org/projects/LB/ and found that I can fix the Options missing from listen/recording drop-downs Issue

So can I work on this issue.
