I don't know what the appetite is for doing new stuff at this stage, but we could do some fun stuff with text strings there. Like if you listened to mainly 70s music we say 'I'm still a flower child deep down, I mainly listened to music from...'

Maybe that's up to mayhem who will create the pics themselves? Does that sound fun mayhem? I'm happy to figure out a bunch of thresholds and text strings for them

aerozol: was cooking up some designs for in-app yim activity and came up with the firstpage have a look!

Updating flactag after a long break, and thought it'd be nice to include a link to the release so you can take a look at it. It's console based though, so would ideally be a short link that can be copy / pasted.

No love for incredibly long strings of numbers and letters? Pff

I'm not sure the average link to a release page would fit in 80 columns :)

If you don't know your favorite mbid off by heart then are you even a mb user

Ah, shorten the mb part, gotcha. I would wait for a more technically minded person to jump on if you want serious input. Getting late in the evening/early in the morning now for most of them

I did just consider using a URL shortener API, but most of them need some sort of authentication, so no good for an Open Source utility like flactag.

jasje: nice, the single scroll per 'stat' is what I was thinking too. Gonna look good. The design/branding needs to align completely with the desktop YIM though - have you had a look at the current design?

Ideally you wouldn't have to redesign anything, just re shuffle what's needed for mobile, and do some nice pagination/scroll navigation

aerozol: Yes i did have a look on the website but the thing is android as whole is going more towards rounded ness.

If you can just take the existing content then maybe you'll have time for a bit of animation or something fun

The app is a bit of a wild west so far, you're usually more or less free to do your own thing, but with YIM we should be consistent (eventually the rest of the app might start getting more attention as well, but not yet :D)

Yes, colors, imagery, fonts etc should all match.

If you can work on app specific navigation etc for now it might be easier - because monkey has yet to do the desktop design and he might change some things as he goes. And then you can align with what he's done
