I was wondering whether we are suppressing the global Top Artists, Albums, etc for LB. It is a big deal. Yet we have them hidden in the “Profile” section of the website. I feel we are losing out on a big thing because of that by being generic about things.

I personally do care about the Billboard’s top 100 albums and such, a lot. Even though music is personal for most, knowing what the mass is listening to is important. I would consider making a separate tab for it, given that we are comfortable with the thought of it being correct as per our data. “Trending” or “Hot” could be a tab name for it. I am keen on making feed the go-to, like on social media sites. I don't know if there's another music site that does things in a feed format, which people are used to and gives us a leg up.

Trending and hot can then be highlighted either in your feed (what's big among your followers/your similar artists atm) and global

I'm not against having a separate side menu but there's still work to do making the existing pages work well, imo, before adding new ones. It would have to be very fleshed out to get it's own main menu item. But eventually, why not?

One thing to be cautious about is that currently I wouldn't call something in profile 'hidden'. It's hard to hide things when there are only three menu items! However if we have 10 menu items then it will be very easy to 'hide' things (there are heaps of sites I use regularly where I've never clicked all the menu items)
