aerozol: your response on the reddit thread is exactly what is happening. the cluster itself has no genre, and there is no aggregation of file genres (or other file tags) happening. the metadata view below is different, as it always live aggregates all tags of selected files

it looks like it is just generating IDs that follow the proper structure :D I don't think it actually knows about recording IDs. The artist ID seems to be correct, though.
