lucifer: while going thru LB api documentation I realized there is no API for upcoming events by an artist.. but I really feel that for an app’s artist page, that is necessary.. so shud I mention in my application that I’ll be using a third party api? I didn’t find any free ones on rapid api..
pranav[m]: no third part APIs should be used for fetching data because this is a listenbrainz app so data should only come from LB/MB etc. unless some exceptional case.

In my opinion, the data shown in LB android app for artist pages should be same as what's shown in the LB web.
Yeah I agree actually on the ideas pages Akshat had written that maybe we could show upcoming events.. and even I thought it would be a nice idea.. but it’s probably better to keep consistency across web and android..

i don't have an issue with showing upcoming events, but then we should add it on the website too and be consistent. so best to discuss with others as well (aerozol, mayhem and monkey) if we want to do this.

While working on my application for SoC under the project -> Artist album and user pages in LB App, I feel that in an artist page on the app, there shud be a section mentioning the upcoming events of an artist. lucifer was kind enough to point out that this is not being done on Web atm and would lead to inconsistency. So could we implement this on web as well so that I could implement this as well in artist pages in
the upcoming events idea is an interesting one. but I feel in order for it to be effective, the user would need to specify a region for which they are interested in events. which makes that more work

Hi, while running the ListenBrain server using docker I filled the config.py with metabrainz oauth details. But When I login using musicbrainz and try to add a listen it shows invalid token and it doesn't add any listen. Any idea what could it be?
