I hate to say it, but adding a new page to our 1,000 pages is not going to get anyone to read “we don’t store music”

Creating a new page where everything is explained clearly is a good solution for the kinds of minds that edit MusicBrainz, not for the kind of people that freak out and write dumbass takedown emails before looking at MB properly. It should probably be in the footer, but (and it hurts to say this) it probably still won’t get read by these people

aerozol[m]: yes, sort of. first , we need to define what "fair" is. and the researchers will do that at length. then we can measure a playlist to see how fair it is and then we can think about making playlists that are fair. but that is going to be *really* challenging.

Yeah, really interesting. Even defining it will be interesting. re. the result, I would tune into these playlists!!

Even as simple as being able to view my stats by gender of artist would be insightful. The country map is already showing me national bias (mine + the music industry)

the gender stats shouldn't be too hard to calculate. good idea!
