And I went for the one that would let me finish sooner
I'll have to implement that for some of the more advanced formatting features later, but one thing at a time

Might be a dumb question, how can I get rights to edit on the test server?
I tried my username YoMo12 and my password combo and it didn't work, I tried creating a new account but that requires email verification `We were unable to send you a verification email.`
Any help would be appreciated.

@_discord_1122526257771462658:chatbrainz.org the login page on test.musicbrainz.org explains how to log in: "This is a development server; all passwords have been reset to "mb"."
(also, all the email addresses have been cleared)
keep in mind that the test server has a separate database, so any edits you make there will not be reflected on the real site (and will occasionally be cleared, since they sometimes replace the test database with an updated dump from the real site). it's useful for testing code changes, not for editing :)

@Kepstin thanks. I used mb as the password and it's giving me incorrect password.
(Yeah, I know it's a test server... That's why I want to try it to figure something out for a tool I'm working on)
You can also try it with my username yomo12
NVM used someone else's account to test what I needed

i usually end up changing my password to something other than 'mb' if i log in to test for some reason; maybe you did the same at some point and forgot what you changed it to? unfortunately, password recovery won't work :/
YoMo12[m]
Oh, that might be the issue:/

YoMo12: I reset your password back to mb, try again

Thanks @bitmap!
Logged in, cannot edit. I gave myself all rights, but does not work for editing.
reosarevok: i think i ran the mbdata script to generate the new models or update sql scripts and it deleted those files. i am guessing the script was updated to not update/generate the now deleted files because mbdata doesn't handle replication stuff anymore.
reosarevok[m]
Hmm, ok - I ran it now and it readded them, that's why I ask :D
lucifer[m]
oh weird

(I was testing for updating it by hand, but I see that it basically expects to use master to do that automatically - so I guess we should update it after we've at least merged all the PRs)

[musicbrainz-server] 14mwiencek merged pull request #3387 (03schema-change-2025-q2…MBS-9253): MBS-9253: Use type child_order rather than id to sort RGs https://github.com/metabrainz/musicbrainz-serve...
yvanzo: hi, I just tagged a new mmd-schema release earlier ^. currently, our perl tests are using the mmd-schema submodule from mb-solr; do you think it'd make sense to update that submodule in the master branch of mb-solr, or in your 9.7.0 branch instead?
reosarevok, bitmap: i noticed that in the 2025-04-01 sample dump (and presumably the live DB), there now seem to be two area-release "arranged in" rows in the `link_type` table, 863 (`d59c5121-7d6c-4965-9fa8-ab47b7d59012`) but now also 1274 (`08441c4a-9287-4bdb-bb7e-fab3f6d5eb12`). the new one has 1268 (area-release "written in") as its parent. should it have a more specific name than "arranged in", or is this deliberate?
(this broke some enum generation code in yambs that probably incorrectly assumed that entity_type0-entity_type1-name would work as a unique key for a link type)
