Does anybody know the process for getting a bot user marked as a bot? Also, how would I submit edits via a bot without using a browser emulator? I've looked into the post requests but I can't seem to get authentication working properly.

@derat I was told you might have some experience with this?
marking a user as a bot is done by request iirc; you might actually want to send an email for that. Doing automated edits is generally not something the community approves of.

there's a fair bit of the edit logic done in the javascript on the forms that you shouldn't be attempting to replicate, and stuff should only be entered into musicbrainz after human review (not before)

Hi reosarevok : Did you test regenerating SQL scripts in SIR with your patch for Medium MBIDs?

@kepstin I was planning on using the bot in order to simplify adding data from my tool, SAMBL. It would require user review first, of course

lioncat6[m]: If you want user review anyway, wouldn't seeding be easier?

yvanzo[m]: Is that separate from regenerating them in mbdata and whatnot? If so, maybe not?

I tried indexing stuff and made sure the search displays the ids and searches based on them
It seems to be related to the way medium lists are built.

yvanzo: its because mbdata versioning is broken, or pip installs with git are. unless you manually uninstall the existing mbdata version, it won't install the correct v30.0.0. version
Hemang Mishra: I reviewed your app mockups, let me know if anything’s not clear. You might want to discuss some of the feedback with your mentor as well - thanks!
