I also did the usual reviewing of Harmony tickets and feedback (Deezer made their API unusable š), and finally found time for some MB edits again over the weekend š±

The port works more or less, but encountered several bugs and instability issues. PyQt is overall the much more stable and mature project. So we'll stick to it. But now we know :)
Apart from this I triaged tickets and did some code review. Again happy to see the progress of twodoorcoupe on his project.
Also applied the same change to the Picard website footer Monkey had already prepared for LB and CB

<02yellowhatpro> Hi everyone!
<02yellowhatpro> Last week was all about exploring tests.
kellnerd wonders why his message finally got through although he had scheduled it for deletion on Matrix before everything stopped working there
<02yellowhatpro> Although tests didn't went well, but I got to setup the test framework iin the app
<02yellowhatpro> Apart from it, added clap features into the app, so now the app supports command line args
<02yellowhatpro> We can enqueue URLs, directly, from edit data, and from edit note, from the command line
<02yellowhatpro> The default behaviour is the polling one though.
<02yellowhatpro> That's it from my side. @akshaaatt next?
<10akshaaatt> Hi Everyone!
<10akshaaatt> I reviewed a couple of PRs, had some discussions and pushed some basic updates to the apps
<10akshaaatt> Thatās pretty much it for last week!

Other than that fixed bugs in my recent pr

Hi everyone!
Last week, couldn't make much progress as I was busy preparing for on campus internship rounds
The listens tab has been implemented so far in the user pages on LB Android
I will spend some time the next 3-4 days on it and the user pages should be a wrap
then will move onto testing and the artist pages
thats it from me.. atj next?

Hi Everyone!
Last week, I spent time on making all the dropdown keyboard accessible. I made some final review for my BP PR.
Had couple of discussions with monkey regarding adding more statistics on LB. So, for that I spent time understanding how Spark works, and stated working on the first new stat.
And spent some time reviewing PRs
Thatās it for me.

works for me. proceeding with the MBS release now...
twodoorcoupe has quit
finished updating the production containers (including cron)
aerozol: would you be interested in helping to write a short EAA announcement blog post and sharing it on socials? š it feels a bit anticlimactic to bury it in the MB server release notes, so perhaps we should only make a sly mention of it there for now š
there might be a couple doc pages still missing, too...API docs, for one
mayhem[m]
bitmap[m]: yes, please lets do this.
yvanzo[m]
bitmap: Can I set the Git tag already? I have to update the releasing procedureā¦
bitmap[m]
yvanzo: yes, can you already generate a blog permalink from the draft?
I forgot tag.sh does that already. it seems my gpg isn't set up on here, though, it might be faster for you to run it
Or should these links be removed since the content of the archives are not indexed anyway?
bitmap[m]
ah, I can work on setting a description for the eventartarchive details page just for completeness sake. but yeah, perhaps we should remove these from the CAA/EAA domains as they don't contain any information that the websites don't have
yvanzo[m]
Also is there any CAA feature that people might expect for the EAA but isnāt there for now?
yvanzo: hmm, I checked IMG-154 now. I wonder, do we need two separate "How to Add X Art" tutorials or should we just have one for both?
Also, looking at types I guess we should also add watermark and maybe raw as event types
yvanzo[m]
Since HowTos are for beginners, it would probably be more clear to have two separate tutorials.
For types, yes, I guess.
reosarevok[m]
"Use in combination with any other appropriate types for images that need work to be used for tagging (but can possibly already be used for reference)." is the raw description
I guess that doesn't actually apply to events that obviously since we don't tag with event art :)
Tagging is also mentioned for Watermark, but something like "Use in combination with any other appropriate types for images that are watermarked, but can still be used for reference." seems sensible there
Does that wording seem good to you?
yvanzo[m]
bitmap: Server blog post and docker release notes seem to be ready now!
I just changed a few words about the new report.
reosarevok: Tagging is just one specific use case, but we can generalize as follows: āthat need work to be used for displayā
bitmap[m]
yvanzo: thank you, the Docker release notes LGTM. I'm going to eat now but feel free to publish š
aerozol, bitmap, reosarevok: I just posted about the MBS release blog post on bsky & mastodon.

Thanks yvanzo , following the previous format and writing a great blurb too šā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
reosarevok[m]
<yvanzo[m]> "reosarevok: Tagging is just..." <- That works for me, should we also change the cover art ones so that both say the same thing? aerozol too

aerozol[m]
Looks like an improvement to me. I havenāt looked that closely but again Iām not sure about āuse in combination with any other appropriate typesā - I would rather make it clear to always apply multiple types as appropraite, rather than add this caveat to a bunch of types. But donāt let it slow you down, that looks fine

Hope you feel better soon mayhem. That question re our CC0 data dumps + financial support isnāt something we should leave sitting imo, it got a few likes and boosts. But letās wait until you feel better. Ping me or PM me when you feel up to it otherwise I will follow up later in the week šļø
