bitmap: i think that one challenge in trying to get primary aliases in SQL is that there's currently fallback logic, e.g. for en_UK, we fall back to en and then to en_US. i'm not sure if the UI actually supports those variants, but we also ultimately fall back to en for other languages, since that's what editors usually seem to default to for latin-script aliases for artists with non-latin names.
