Hi, is this the right place to ask for help with removing an auto-accepted edit I made on musicbrainz?
I wanted a promo release to an album so that both versions would show up but I think I did it wrong so I want to undo it all
aerozol
jetpackjakson: probably more #musicbrainz, but sure. Link to the release group/album?
I probably wouldn’t remove it, just fix it, but let’s see :)

aerozol: just making sure I don't need to forward late reviews to you separately
(I mean community not admin)

reosarevok: oh, gotcha. Do me a favor though and give me a nudge if you see one for me, though! Because I just skim them
reosarevok
Well, there's one rimskii review from yesterday :)
aerozol
Hmm, maybe I don’t get those emails, I can’t find that one
reosarevok
mayhem: can you add aerozol to community-manager@?
ApeKattQuest: I guess hacker news really did block me! I can’t see my post in incognito mode/not logged in either! Not the end of the world tbh
Got the test message, thanks mayhem, reosarevok
mayhem
great. why did HN block you?
aerozol
No idea. But because the only thing I’ve ever posted is MeB stuff, and I don’t do anything else there, maybe that was too ‘corporate shill’ for someone
There is currently an annoying issue with M$ apt mirrors, breaking github actions builds for Picard (and much more), it may happen on others MeB repos using Github actions as well
OK, OAuth applications are back to working order lucifer (IRC)
Sent a support query to SoundCloud to change the redirect_uri, but in the meantime I re-established the missing routes and singing in works on porod
prod* Interestingly it only works on prod, but I think that was a problem before too because there is only a single redirect URI and none for beta.LB and test.LB so I don't think it ever worked there.
lachieh (IRC): logging into SoundCloud should be working again, please let me know if you have other issues
And thanks for reporting the issue :)
aerozol[m]
monkey: thank you for secondary nav change! I feel like I’m back in my cozy LB home 🥰
monkey[m]
Me too !
Glad that's fixed
aerozol[m]
Was procrastinating from another job today, and wanted to do something fun. This was an idea that outsidecontext had at the last summit. What do you think mayhem? Image sizing needs work but the graphic is fun!
aerozol[m] uploaded an image: (132KiB) < https://matrix.moviebrainz.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/EMoARbpmTjdinMLgPrjcfaoO/image.png >
A crate for each project would be cool
(I fell into this while looking at fun mockups, a la the Picard box, to accompany the many many LB updates we’re going to be posting… but that’s proven harder to get right)
monkey[m]: Hi! Since the react-query branch has been merged, i believe we're ready to merge the SPA feature branch. What do you think?
monkey[m]
Hello!
We need to do another round of testing, but apart from that I'm not opposed, we can finish off the other PRs afterwrads and merge them in
i.e. the BrainzPlayer PR and the few refactors we need to do
Speaking of refactors... how do you feel about the idea of using wrappers for the class components fro the BP PR?
ansh
Hmm, it should work on most of the cases
monkey[m]
Might be a good way to get BP merged with "finalized" features, and do the refactors on the heels of that
ansh
unless we're fetching the listens inside the component itself, and updating them based on user action
mayhem
aerozol: super cute, I love it!
aerozol[m]
<3
monkey[m]
Right, I guess in that case we will need to refactor
aerozol[m]
I’ll try go back to coming up with a LB image tomorrow, to make noise about Apple Music support!
monkey[m]
Eyyy
ansh (IRC): I'll deploy the single-page-app branch to test.LB then
And we can do a round of testing everything
ansh
monkey[m]: Can you deploy the `spa-improvement` branch instead. I fixed a small bug in the login
monkey[m]
Sure thing
zas
The fault has been fixed. michael & marlon are back.
monkey[m]
ansh (IRC): spa-improvement deployed to test.LB .
You take the explore section and I take the user dashboard section (or vice versa if you prefer?) and we test every button and action on the page (I guess except deleting listens, can try that on my alt account)?
ansh
Sure! I'll test the explore section
monkey[m]
K
lucifer
mayhem: i looked into it, i think i have found the issue. will fix.
monkey[m]: thanks!
mayhem

BrainzBot
You're doing good work, lucifer!
monkey[m]
ansh (IRC): Found an issue with the user dashboard, navigating using the date picker doesn't work (or more precisely, it works but the listens get overwritten straight away by the most recent ones)
I know where the issue comes from, will fix and push to spla-improvement
It's something I ran into while refactoring the user feed: storing the data from react-query in the state results in stale state in a bunch of cases. If we want to delete/modify items (for example deleting a listen) we need to either refetch or modify the query cache directly.
ansh (IRC): the cover art stuff I think is because the css style for `#react-container` has `height:100vh` . `min-height: 100vh;` fixes the issue, but needs a check to see if that breaks any page
I understand the ctid their import gave won't work for us, so not sure what's the way if any to find that recording
The longest recording name I could find is 37960058
yano1 is now known as yano
bitmap
yeah looks like it's from the same "artist" as before
it's not the exact same issue though, since we do have this index in production. I'm guessing our btree versions differ and have slightly different size limits
reosarevok
Hmm. So we should tell them to change their btree size? Is that configurable?
